What's up, y'all? I am staying warm right now, it is probably cold outside (30s F?) How was your thanksgiving, everyone? Mine was great!! I get to be with my family, relatives, and church family :D Plus I get to eat really good food! :p
I was so blessed last night in the sanctuary. We had our Thanksgiving Service. I was so blessed and moved by our brothers and sisters testimonies and their desire to be more passionate for the things of God and for God. I was able to share my testimony as well.
Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving anyways?
The first proclamation of Thanksgiving was held in Charlestown, Massachusetts on June 20, 1676. The council proclaimed June 29 as a day of Thanksgiving. I like what was said in the proclamation...
The Council has thought meet to appoint and set apart the 29th day of this instant June, as a day of Solemn Thanksgiving and praise to God for such his Goodness and Favour, many Particulars of which mercy might be Instanced, but we doubt not those who are sensible of God's Afflictions, have been as diligent to espy him returning to us; and that the Lord may behold us as a People offering Praise and thereby glorifying Him; the Council doth commend it to the Respective Ministers, Elders and people of this Jurisdiction; Solemnly and seriously to keep the same Beseeching that being persuaded by the mercies of God we may all, even this whole people offer up our bodies and souls as a living and acceptable Service unto God by Jesus Christ."
It is good to give thanks to the Lord indeed!
Psalm 100
A psalm of thanksgiving.
1
Shout with joy to the LORD, O earth!
2
Worship the LORD with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
3
Acknowledge that the LORD is God!
He made us, and we are his.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and bless his name.
5
For the LORD is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation
Everyday, may it be Thanksgiving day!!!
Thanksgiving
What's up with me?
Well, just want to speak out what's on my mind, or what's been going on with me. Well, yes, I'm under construction. From glory to glory He changes me!

Goodmorning! How are you all doing? It's nice outside, not too chilly this time. Tomorrow is gonna be a chilly Thanksgiving! Stay warm y'all!
So what have I been up to? Been working a lot! Last Monday, supposed to be my night off but my co-worker's mother is so sick :( so I worked her shift. I hope her mother is feeling better now.
Worship service was awesome! It is really good to be in the presence of the Lord!! The message, it was really good!!
Am I My Brother's Keeper? (Genesis 4:1-12)
That was the question last Sunday. We studied the meaning of the word "keeper" it is from the Hebrew word "shamar" which means to cover, regard, keep, watch, protect, preserve, surround.
When I heard it I was like, "Wow!" So that is our responsibility to our brothers and sisters in Christ KEEP them! :) Yes, we are our brother's keeper.
1 John 2:9-11 says....
v 9 If anyone says, "I am living in the light," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness.
v 10 Anyone who loves other Christians is living in the light and does not cause anyone to stumble.
v 11 Anyone who hates a Christian brother or sister is living and walking in darkness. Such a person is lost, having been blinded by the darkness.
1 John 4:20-21 also says...
v 20 If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we have not seen?
v 21 And God himself has commanded that we must love not only him but our Christian brothers and sisters, too.
Yes, let us love one another. Let us cover, regard, keep, watch, protect, preserve, surround our brothers and sisters.
If we see the nakedness of our brothers don't broadcast it, instead, cover their nakedness. We are not supposed to put them to shame.
Zechariah 7:9-10 says...
v 9 This is what the LORD Almighty says: Judge fairly and honestly, and show mercy and kindness to one another.
v 10 Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and poor people. And do not make evil plans to harm each other.
Galatians 6:1,2
Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ
Colossians 13:13 You must make allowance for each other's faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
I love this verse in Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. NIV
A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. NLT
A friend loves at all times, but the love of a brother is better shown in times of trouble. A brother is always available whenever you need him.
That's the way we should be! Be there whenever needed!
That's it for now, will write again!
God Bless!

It's chilly now. High is just around low 60's F today. Other than that, weather is fine :D. I worked last night... work was fine:) And our Youth Group had Zone meeting here in our house! It was neat!! God dealt with each one of us. Our pastor's son, who is only 17, shared about his struggles as being a "pastor's kid" and a "teenager" at the same time, how God dealt with him, and how he became more passionate about God! Afterwards we prayed individually. Surrendering our lives back to Him, everyone of us cried, asked for forgiveness and a question was raised in each one of us, "Am I right where God wants me to be?" Then we worshipped God with the song Breathe, a prayer, a cry that we are desperate for God! Then we sang another song....
"I'm gonna be a history maker in this land. I'm gonna be a speaker of truth to all mankind. I'm gonna stand, I'm gonna run into Your arms, into Your arms again."
So, let us ask these questions during our quiet time with the Lord... Am I right where God wants me to be? If I am not, do I want to be there? If I do, will I let God take me there?
We are the children of the Most High! (John 1:12) We cannot be satisfied by just being a "Christian" We need to be what God wants us to be, a "Victorious Christian!"
With that being said... I must go... will write again. God Bless!

It has warmed up here. We are expecting a chilly weather this weekend though. Anyhow, my day was fine, I worked last night and it was not bad. I had a good night at work. I went to the gym afterwards. My body is kinda sore now... hehe... I missed the YMCA for what... 3 months? hehehe. I came back to my senses so I went :D
I missed the church tonight, I was so tired :( I didn't wake up til 11:00pm this evening. Now at 2 AM I am wide awake 8-|
Anyways, I encountered these questions regarding Heaven. Is it really a place or a state of mind? What's in heaven? Will I see my loved ones there? How do I go to heaven?
Heaven is a place, Heaven is where God is. Jesus said in John 14:1-2
"Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father's home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly."
And Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:1
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down--when we die and leave these bodies--we will have a home in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.
I believe we will see our loved ones who are in the Lord who have gone before us. We may not know them as our father, spouse, child (for we are all children of God in heaven and the bride of our bridegroom, Jesus Christ) but we will know them by name, just as God knows us and called us by name.
The way to heaven? Jesus is!
John 14:6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
What is in Heaven?
Revelations 21
3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, "Look, the home of God is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.
4 He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever."
I long for that day when my Lord comes to take me home!
But for now, I press on!
Philippians 1:21-24
For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better. Yet if I live, that means fruitful service for Christ. I really don't know which is better. I'm torn between two desires: Sometimes I want to live, and sometimes I long to go and be with Christ. That would be far better for me, but it is better for you that I live.
He is our hope! God Bless!!!

It's cold here in J-ville, FL. Hmm I think the word "cold" is too much. Let's just say it's chilly now, with only a high of 62 F and low of 34. So how are you guys doing? I hope you are all staying warm and dry. I missed church last night :( I had to work the other night and I was too tired, I overslept :( But I didn't miss the Thursday night! :D The topic was the continuation from the other week, relationships. God is the author of relationships, Satan is the destroyer. We must not let Satan destroy relationships. We must not give up in building relationships.
I like these verses in Romans 12:16-18
16 Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all!
17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.
18 Do your part to live in peace with everyone, as much as possible.
Well, that's it for now. Will write again. God Bless!

Good morning!! How's it goin'? I hope all is well with y'all. Last week was good! I was able to go to the thursday Bible Study, and I'm so glad I went!
The topic was about relationships; the need to belong, the need to be a part of the family of God!
In Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Solomon talked about the advantages of companionship:
9 Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor.
10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But people who are alone when they fall are in real trouble.
11 And on a cold night, two under the same blanket can gain warmth from each other. But how can one be warm alone?
12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.
Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
We are called to do His will. I can't do it alone. You can't do it alone. We all need each other. I cannot say, "I am only a toe, I don't belong to the body," and I cannot say, "Hey, hand! What are you doing in the body? We don't need you!" That's ridiculous! :p (read 1 Cor. 12:12-31)
We are like jigsaw puzzle. Isolated we don't make any sense. Connected, we make a beautiful portrait of Christ!
Ephesians 4:15,16
15 Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
16 Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
From the beginning, God said it is not good for man to be alone. (Gen. 2:18) Up to now, He wants to see His children united. Even Jesus had it in His prayer list, that we may be one. (John 17:21)
So, what is our response to this? I pray that we will be able to answer Jesus prayer request. That we will dwell in unity. (Psalm 133:1)
Well, that's it for now. I still got a lot to share. Give me time! :D
I love you all!

Wassup??!!!! :D Hope everthing's well with y'all. Had a good week! Friday night, we got to see Bob Smiley, Out of Eden, Mercy Me, Pillar, Toby Mac and Audio Adrenaline... weeeeee!!! :D I got Audio A to sign my shirt.. hehe. They were really good! We had praise & worship.... partying for God at the Festival Con Dios!! :D Oh, and there was a lot of people who rededicated their lives for God, and new salvations! Weeeeee!! :D On our way to Denny's we took some balloons with us... I got my car filled up with balloons... hehe... it was about 12 of 'em. We had to let go of the others :( It was sooooo much fun :D A couple of kids from our youth group went with us, I thought they are quiet, well-behaved (they are :)) But that night we were goofing around... hehe :D
Saturday... I didn't get to see Jonah :( I just stayed home, watched Serendipty :p I love that movie, though ;)
Today... awesome!! I get to back-up for the Praise & Worship. Man!! God inhabits the praises of His people :) The message? It was awesome as well!! The topic was about how God uses us... people... who are imperfect! Main verse was from 2 Corinthians 4:7. It says...
But this precious treasure--this light and power that now shine within us--is held in perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies. So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own. NLT
God used Abraham, who's not perfect. God used Moses, who's not perfect. God used David, who's not perfect.
I love the illustration too.
There's this popular pianist, Dino (of TBN), that my Pastor met. They were in a nursing home and he was asked to play the piano for the residents. The piano was old. Dino run the keys several times. There were out of tune keys. He prayed, and played the Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art and they sounded so beautiful!! He played the song to another key, skipping the bad notes :)
We are the Piano, God is the Pianist. He will make a wonderful melody out of us, skipping our imperfections. It's not about the instrument, it's about the Instrumentalist :)
With this, I say... Let's look at each other, the way God looks at us... co-heirs with Christ! :)
Romans 8:17
And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.
God Speed!
