Wow! It's been almost a week since I posted here. I have been working extra hours this past week, and I'm working again tonight. Sunday service was really good. The topic was about Breakthrough. Breakthrough in Praise and Worship, meaning giving it all the we got for His glory. Breakthrough in Faith, putting our trust in His word because He is faithful. He keeps His promises. He never changes (Hebrews 13:8). Sunday School was good too, we talked about what it means to be a disciple. We were divided into small groups and we defined the word disciple. Disciple is a follower of Christ, teachable, studies the Word, applies the Word, and shares the Word. We chose a character from the Bible who was discipled effectively. We chose Timothy. He was discipled by Paul. He had sincere faith, he had a spirit of power, love and sound mind.
Well, gotta go. Leave you with this verse:
2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
What's up with me?
Well, just want to speak out what's on my mind, or what's been going on with me. Well, yes, I'm under construction. From glory to glory He changes me!

My weekend was really good! Saturday we had our Teen Sports Mania. A lot of kids went, I saw new faces. We all had a good time. They played volleyball & basketball. I enjoyed watching :D Before we left, Geonifer, our youth pastor (our youth pastor's wife) gave the kids a chance to make a choice, for some of them have not made a decision yet if they will accept Jesus or not so she shared the gospel to them. Sports is really a good ministry tool for the kids because they are active and they enjoy being with their peers.
After the sports event, we had practice for praise & worship. It's been a while since I practiced for praise & worship and I really enjoyed it!
Sunday was great! I backed up for the praise & worship. I really believed that God inhabited the praise & worship, it was awesome! The message by the way is about making a choice. A choice betwee life & death, blessings & curses. It's from Deuteronomy 30:15-20
15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Our pastor also talked about choosing a life parter. I was like, "That again?" Thank God He also talked about choosing to be married or not, like Paul said it is better to stay unmarried so your dedication is for God alone. But if you want to of course you can get married. Well, in my case of course I wanna get married, two heads are better than one. We just gotta have the same goal, that of course is to glorify God.
Well, I gotta go. I still have a lot to say but I must drive my mom and sister to the mall :p
God Bless!

Thank God I'm off from work for two nights! It was not a bad night at all last night. I got two confused patients but they were not that bad and the nurse who is my friend has been a big help to me. Anyway there was this one particular patient with a bossy attitude, a little confused & hard to please. She was funny though :p. She was so hard to please but when I helped her with morning care, she told me that I made her feel good and she was thankful! She made me feel good too :) She's just so bossy and was ungrateful that nobody wants to be assigned to her but I kept a positive attitude, it paid off!! :D
I remember a verse in the Bible, I forgot where it is; Do unto others what you would want them to do unto you!
And there's more, in Matthew 5
43 You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good,
and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Hey, I'm not saying that my patient is my enemy... lol :p I'm just reminded of what love really means. God loved us when we were yet sinners, and it is God's will for us to love others just like He did.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
I love Y'all!

How are you all doing? I just got home from work, pretty much ready to go to sleep, well, not quite :D
Today is the See You At The Pole event, students gathering around the flagpole before the class starts to pray for the school teachers, classmates, community and nation. This is also an effort to get the prayer back in schools. How I wish to be back in school again!
Well, for those like me who already outgrown school, :p remember our students in prayer. Pray that they will be able to light up their darkened schools no matter what.
Students, you can do it!

Yesterday, in our Sunday School class for teens, we separated the guys from the girls. Our Youth Pastor, Geoni; Jessie & I collected questions from the girls. Some of the questions that we got surprised us. Of course they were asked anonymously. They asked about relationships, sex, self steem, God. Those are honest questions that I know are so hard to ask about. We're glad that we were able to tell them our point of view about the issues that are important to them, and we're glad to let them know that they can come to us whenever they need us since what they are going through, we have gone through as well.
During the Worship Service, our Pastor shared about 9/11, nukes, wake up call. The nuke thingy, scared me for real, the question about this is not 'will it happen?' but 'when will this happen?'
Was 9/11 our wake up call? Yes it was, we woke up, but we went back to sleep again :(. What's gonna take us to wake up for real?
Let this be our wake up call before something else happen. Let's get right with God. The harvest is ready, let's answer His call.
God Bless America!

This morning, I participated in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk 2002. It's my first time to ever walk 3 miles at once. The good thing is I walked for a cause. Our team, Saint Vincent's Medical Center, walked and raised money for American Heart Association. I walked for my father, I lost him because of heart disease when we were in the Philippines. I thought if we went here in the US earlier, he could have lived longer.
It was hard for me at first. We had to cross two bridges, but overall we had fun. There's a lot of people who participated from different companies here in our town. Weather participated too. I thought we were gonna need poncho but we didn't. The sun never came out until we finished our walk.
Having walked that far, getting some calories off, I remember Paul's instruction to Timothy;
1 Timothy 4
7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things,
holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance
10 (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God,
who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.
Well, gotta go, gotta work.

September 11, 2001.... Who can ever forget?
9/10 I worked for 12 hours that night until the morning of 9/11. I went home, went to sleep. About 8:55 AM, my mom woke me up. There was a plane crashed onto a building! I said, "Another plane accident? That's probably a human factor again." I went back to sleep. My mom woke me up again. "There's another plane crash!" she said. "What?! This is no accident, something's wrong!" I said. Sure enough it was no accident. I got my eyes fixed on the TV. I was praying, asking God, "What is this, punishment?" Then another plane hit the Pentagon.
Americans and Non-Americans alike, that only shows we are vulnerable. U.S.A. considered a power house was so helpless during that day. What does that say? We need help. Who can help us? God alone! That goes on to say, we need God in America again! I remember Anne Graham-Lotz saying, "God is a gentleman that He wouldn't force Himself to us. He wouldn't force us to love Him back. If we push Him, He would back out." That's what we did, we pushed Him out of our schools, out of the government, out of our lives.
Praise God, though. Though He backed out, He never left. He is still there, waiting for us to embrace Him once again.
James 4:8 says, "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
Let us invite Him back to our schools, to our lives. On September 18, 2002 let us stand up for Christ. Those who will be in school, See You At The Pole and let us pray for our schools, our classmates, our teachers, our leaders in the government, our country. Let us show the world what we are made of. Those who will not be in school, let us remember our students in prayer. Let us pray that whatever pressure they feel from their classmates, they will be able to withstand them, they will be courageous to stand for what they believe.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
911, will we ever forget? Never.

Hola! It's been 4 days since I posted here. What's the latest? My sisters and I went to the Rock the Universe in the Universal Studios, Orlando last Friday & Saturday (Sept. 6, 7 2002) We had a great time!! We saw Newsboys of course they were great! We saw Rebacca St. James for the first time and she was awesome! We saw Jars of clay, Third Day (for the first time), Jennifer Knapp (as always she was cool), Five Iron Frenzy (first time, they were hilarious), Paul Coleman Trio (first time, they made me cry :'( ), Out of Eden (first time, they were cool), Daily Planet (first time, they were hilarious too), Souljahz (1st time, cool music), OC Supertones (skanctified), Contagious (1st time, they were awesome!)
Speakers were Ron Luce of Teen Mania Ministries and Jay Strack, Chaplain to NBA teams.
Ron Luce talked about how not to entice our evil desires and how to entice our godly desires.
How Not To Entice Our Evil Desires?
1. Give the car keys of our hearts to God.
2. Don't look at the enticements of evil desires.
3. Run from the enticements of evil desires.
4. Throw out the garbages, magazines, CD's that entice our evil desires.
How To Entice Our Godly Desires?
1. Be filled with the Holy Spirit
2. Read the Word, Seek Him with all of our hearts, get into the preaching tapes
3. Pray, hunger for more of Him!
4. Worship Him, sing, listen to praise & worship tapes
Jay Strack talked about the way a Christian should live. Don't be on the sidelines, don't be on a curve waiting for the heroes to pass by. Be A Hero! Let God use you!
Yep, those are powerful messages that we received from the Rock the Universe
Not only did I receive a message, I even got a hug from Ron Luce! I told him that I went on a mission trip for the very first time with Teen Mania. I told him how it blessed me and changed me.
Well, Hasta Luego!

What's up? Me doing very well, thank God. We had bible study in our church this evening, we're studying the book of Psalms. We were on chapter 117, the shortest chapter in the bible. We talked about the wonder of His love, how He was willing to die because of his love for us.
Oh, I'll tell you about the Mission, I talked about the need for more missionaries, Matthew 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Yep, statistically, with every 1 million people who have not heard of the Gospel, there are only 5 missionaries. That's few!!
Probably, not everyone is called to go to places for mission, but we all can have a part on the Great Commission of Christ. In fact we need to be a part of it, Matthew 28:19,20.
5 ways we can be a part of it:
1. Go - Matthew 28:19, If God is telling you to go, by all means, go. He promised to be with you whereever you go.
2. Send - Romans 12:8 if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. If God is calling you to do so, here are some Missionary sending organizations that you can contact; Timothy Project, Voice of the Martyrs, Global Expeditions
3. Pray - Matthew 9:38 "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
4. Mobilize - Make the people aware of the need for more workers to reach out to those who have not heard about Jesus. Train missionaries, encourage the missionaries, and just make the Church aware of the need.
5. Welcome - Welcome your international neighbors, the new immigrants here in US, welcome your new co-worker, and love them! Show them God's love and they will want to have that love too! And when they come back to their countries, they will want to share God's love too. Sounds cool huh? :)
Ok, start praying now!

What's been going on since the last time I wrote here? Last Friday night, 30th of August, the youth leaders in our church went out. We were gonna do putt-putt but it was raining, instead we went to Starbucks. It was the first time that I went out with them and we had a good time. We talked about what's been going on with us, with our youth group. We started brainstorming on how to help the kids with their Christian life. We encouraged one another and I shared to them about the dream that I had on the 20th of August.
Let me tell you about my dream.
There were familiar faces that I saw in my dream, my family was there and my friend in the Philippines was there. Those were the famliar faces that I saw. There were some more people that I never saw before, but mostly they were young people. What happened in that dream was some people, I don't know if they were muslims or Talibans, took us, the Christians as prisoners. It was like a holocaust that had happened with the Jews. Those people forbid us from praying and praising God but we started praying all the more. Then one man started firing gun in the air to scare us. I was scared, I thought he's gonna kill someone. I was holding a baby, I don't know who that baby was but that baby reminds me of my sister who is already 17 yrs. old, well maybe because I was worried about my sister and my brother. Anyway, we stopped praying out loud for a while and then we started again. We worshipped God and sang songs. I was scared, I was praying to God, asking Him, "Will I be able to die for You, am I ready?" I was crying. We went to sleep on the floor, in a dark house with hundreds of other people majority are youth. I couldn't sleep I was crying, still holding the baby, praying. Then there were hundreds of flaming horsemen and of course with their flaming horses who passed by in the place that we were on. They were leaving poisonous worms that went through our bodies. They made us paralyzed, we can't utter any words and we became deaf.
I woke up for a moment. I was crying. Then I went to sleep.
The dream continued, it was morning, we were on a field. They were about to kill all of us! I started praying again telling God I'm scared to die that way, but I said it is more scarier to deny God! I asked for peace, He granted it. Then for selfish reasons I asked if God could numb the pain that I'm gonna feel then I started smiling, thinking how can I be selfish, Jesus went through much more hardship than I went through and more than that I'm about to go through. The executioners have swords and a steel bar with a hook on it, what's that called? Anyway, they were rusty. I was first in line! I was still holding the baby. Still praying, and convincing myself, I am ready! For some reason we're not on line anymore. We started to surround the executioner, he made us watch him as he beats each one of us to death. I thought I was gonna be first to die. He grabbed a young man, I think he's about 18 to early 20's. I saw the peace in his heart. He was smiling and praising God, then a boy went to him and kissed his forhead. I figured out the young man was a missionary and the boy heard about Jesus because of him. The executioner started beating him. He didn't stop praising God. He keeps on beating him and cut his neck with the rusty steel with a hook. He died of hemorrhage and just burried him on that site. I noticed that the executioner didn't ask him if he would deny Jesus so he can live. I figured out everyone of us there have made up our mind. We can't deny God!
I woke up, crying. I started praying for the persecuted Christians, and for the young people. I believe that there's gonna be a revival among the young people. God's gonna raise up an army from the Generation X.
