Happy New Year!

I'm feeling kinda sleepy right now. I can't wait for 9PM, though. We'll be celebrating New Year at church! Speaking of church, last Thursday, the topic was about LOVE. Satan hates LOVE so much that he creates frictions amongst the church. I call LOVE as an OIL that drives away frictions :)

Proverbs 10:12

Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love covers all offenses.

Luke 6

32"Do you think you deserve credit merely for loving those who love you? Even the sinners do that!
33 And if you do good only to those who do good to you, is that so wonderful? Even sinners do that much!
34 And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, what good is that? Even sinners will lend to their own kind for a full return.
35 "Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don't be concerned that they might not repay. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and to those who are wicked.
36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

Will post again!

Merry Christmas!! I went to Universal Studios yesterday. I met with a friend and her friends. They drove from Michigan to Orlando. Quite neat, huh? :) We had a great time! quite short, though. I had to drive back home for Christmas eve. I hope to see them again, though.

So how's your Christmas? I remember Christmas in the Philippines, the children will knock on our doors and ask for Christmas treats. It was fun! Now, have to pause for a moment and thank God that we have Christmas! If it wasn't for Christmas, there's no reason for existence at all. Thank God for His love. Thank God, He made a way for us!

Matthew 1:23

The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel --which means, God with us.

God with us
So close to us
God with us
Immanuel!
<-- Don Moen

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

As we enjoy looking at the Christmas lights, let's celebrate the Light of the world.

As we gaze to the beauty of the decorated Christmas tree, remember that He is the vine, we are the branches.

As we wrap the gifts we are about to give and open the gifts we received, let us thank God for the greatest gift that a man can ever have.

During Christmas season most of us receive new dresses, toys, electronics.... etc
The King of kings was born in a manger, all He had was swadling clothes and gold, incense & myrrh

Why those gifts?

Gold, He is King
Incense, He is The Priest
Myrrh, The suffering He was about to endure

He was made low, He suffered, He died, He arose, He is coming back again, for our sake.... remember that!!

He came here in a manger.... but He is coming back again in splendor, riding in a white horse!!! Oh... I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Isaiah 9:6,7

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on his shoulders. These will be his royal titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the LORD Almighty will guarantee this! NLT

Merry Christmas!!

How are you all? I'm not feeling too good. Been coughing for days now. :(

I was watching TBN yesterday. Paul, the owner, said it is not wrong to give with the expectation of getting something in return. I believe that!

Luke 6:38

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

I just never thought of it before. I wanted to give just because I want to and I have something to give.

Paul made a good point. Did God give Jesus, His only Son, expecting nothing in return? I thought of it, and I say, nope! God gave us His Son so we can put our trust in Him, so we can be His sons and daughters too.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Later again, people! God Bless!

Awesome! Awesome! Yeah, my night was awesome!! My mother & I went to watch Michael W. Smith on his Christmastime Tour. I surprised my mom :p She loves MWS :D Point of Grace was there, and Kara, new artist. They really were awesome! And the band, man they rock!! Now I wanna learn to play the violin!! They played Christmas songs, we sang Christmas carols, and we had Praise & Worship! They played my favorite song, Here I Am To Worship :) I was sobbing. And the song that Denise Jones sang, made me cry too, MWS played the piano with it. It was written by no other than the Watermark. Man, I love that couple! It was indeed a blessed night, my mom loved it!

Well, well, how are you all doing? I hope you are all staying warm and comfy. I'm not feeling too good :( I have a sore throat, I guess from singing too much :p Well, it's the weather! It's chilly and it was raining. I hope today is better. We will be going down to Orlando to watch a candle lighting ceremony. High School students all over the USA will be singing Christmas Carols, my sister is one of them.

Oh, btw last Thursday I went to the Bible Study in our church. I was surprised there were a lot of people. Even more surprised that my sister & her bf was there. The topic was about CHANGE! Yes, change can be so scary. I remember, I was so scared of moving out of the country (The Philippines) I was like, "I'm ok here, I'd rather stay, I have friends here, involved in a local church here, I don't want to go!" But, He's got a better plan than what I have. Moving here in the USA was scary for me. I was downcast, didn't have a homechurch, didn't have any friends. Now I have all those. And change even draw me closer to God!

This is the kind of Change God wants for us all...

2 Corinthians 3:18

And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

Well, that's it for now. Will write again! Good day!

Good afternoon! My back's hurting, I was so busy Tuesday night and work load's heavy :(

I took another quiz... hehe :D

You are Fozzie!
Wokka Wokka! You love to make lame jokes. Your sense of humor might be a bit off, but you're a great friend and can always be counted on.
.

Ok, who here objects? :p

I'll write again. God Bless!

Good morning! Hope everything is well with you all! Yesterday I did nothing but SLEEP, I needed it since I worked last Sunday night. It's gloomy outside, it's been raining since yesterday :( Hmm, I remember a song about God's faithfulness, even if we don't see the sun shining becoz of the dark clouds, you know that the sun is still there. Likewise, in our darkest hour, God is still there!

Like the sun, that rises everyday
You are so faithful, Lord You are faithful
Like the life that you give
And every breath that I breathe
You are so faithful, oh Lord
Like the rose, that comes alive every spring
You are so faithful, dear Lord You are faithful
Like the life that you give
To every beat of my heart
You are so faithful, oh Lord
by Bob Fitts

There's another song

You have been more faithful
Than the morning sun
You have been more faithful
Than knowing night will come
You have been more faithful
Than the changing of seasons
by Skillet

I took a quiz, I'm Rainbow Brite! I do agree, do you? :p

Which Rainbow Brite kid are you? By Growing.

Later again!

Sunday, December 08, 2002

Good morning! It's Sunday! I'm gonna get ready for church. Yesterday we were so busy preparing for this day. I believe this day's gonna be awesome! We had a practice for the ceremony. Yes, we have True Love Waits ceremony, we're gonna take a vow to keep ourselves pure until the day of our wedding, that is if I am gonna get wed :p

Romans 12 NLT

1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice--the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask?

2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

I've been busy updating my blog too. I put the archives index in the main page. I think that's better that way.

Well, gotta go. Will write again soon!

Take care y'all!

I praise God!! Heard a praise report from my friend, God is awesome! I really want what's best for my friends, this one friend got it! God gave her the best in a relationship. :) I pray that God will continually lead them together, that they will be a blessing to others, and their love for the Lord will grow even more stronger.

Yesterday I went to one of our churchmates' house to pick up some decorations for the church. I'm so glad I did, besides the food for our bodies, I got a food for my soul. She is just a blessing everytime she says a word. :)

Monday night, we had the G-5 (cell group) leaders meeting. Yeah, we had food again :p but we all were so blessed to what God has done during that meeting. I'm so blessed by the testimonies of my brothers & sisters who are present during the meeting, we praised & worshipped God corporately, oh He really inhabits the praises of His people. How awesome His presence is :) We also talked about waiting upon the Lord and resting in His presence.

Psalms 37

3 Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.5 Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
6 And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as [the shining sun of] the noonday.
7 Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself--it tends only to evildoing.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord [in the end] shall inherit the earth.AMP

Those are the verses that God laid in my heart to share, with emphasis on verses 7 & 9. Being a cell group leader, or should I say, being a Christian, we must wait upon the Lord and His glory will be shown in us, and the people around us will want to have what we have, that is how we will inherit the earth, that is how we will lead the souls to Christ, that is how we will be able to gather the harvest.

There's another verse that was shared during the meeting:

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.AMP

.....we will wait upon the Lord, for in His presence is fullness of joy, and our strength shall be restored, as we wait.....upon the Lord Ron Kenoly album Lift Him Up

Good evening! I worked last night, was so tired. I went home this morning, and never went out since then. I slept and I had to stay home to watch for my Granny. So I missed Sunday Service :( I wonder what the message was, I'll ask my sisters when they get home. I wonder where they went, up to now they are not home yet, hmm. And my brother, he asked me for help on his project, it is about the movie Rudy(1993). He's looking for the info about the characters of the movie. My eyes are tired of looking for info on it. Can somebody help me? Please!?

Oh, Friday night, we had fun! The youth group in our church surprised our youth pastor for her birthday! She was really surprised but I like her reaction, "Where is the camera?" :p She thought the cake was so pretty so she want to have a picture with it :D

Oh, I'm reading this book Experiencing God by Henry T. Blackaby & Claude V. King, really neat devotional book. I'm on the 7th chapter, it talks about The Pursuit. God pursues a love relationship with us! Isn't that neat? God being God wants a loving relationship with us, humans? I used to think that God is so big that He wouldn't notice me. I used to think that He is all that (well He is) that He would not have time for me. Man am I wrong!! He loves me!! He loves you!!

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 3:16

We know what real love is because Christ gave up his life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.

1 John 4:19

We love Him, because He first loved us.

What a loving God we serve!

Praise God!
