Go Tampa! Go Tampa! :p It was a boring Superbowl game, even the ads were boring :(... but at least Tampa Bay won! Wooohoooo!! hehe... :p

How are you all doing? Happy that Tampa Bay won? Disappointed at Oakland Raiders’ loss? However you are feeling, hope you are all doing well.

It has been a while since I posted here, but for those days that I haven’t been posting, I learned a lot! I want to share with y’all what I learned. Last Thursday, the Bible Study series was about the Prayer of Jabez. Here’s the verse:

1 Chronicles 4:9,10

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

The series was already started the previous Thursday, and I missed it. The first topic was about, Bless Me. The second, which was last Thursday, was Enlarge My Territory.

God really wants to bless His children, enlarge their territory, and to equip them for the mission, which is to bring more people to Christ.

What is My Territory? It is where God has placed me to make an impact for Him!

Matthew 5:16 says…

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

What do I do to claim my God-given territory?

1. Take that step. A thousand miles starts from the first step.
2. Entrust God your small territory. Like the feeding of 4,000 men, it started from 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes.
3. Give God a large vessel. 2 Kings 4, the widow collected as many bottles as she can have so the prophet of the Lord could fill them with oil.
4. You’ve got to have Passion for God!
5. Let God increase in your life! John 3:30… He must increase, but I must decrease.

Pretty good message, huh? Let us be reminded of it. God wants to expand our horizon, our territory!

By the way, yesterday, I was listening to a local Christian station, FM 88.1. I was so moved by the testimonies, yes it was a testimony time, so I called, shared my testimony as well about how I came to know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. I was nervous, it was my first time to be on air, but God told me that I wouldn't know how many lives can be impacted if I make that call so I did. Praise God!

Hey, I took another quiz!

Dear All,

It's almost 1PM I worked last night, and will work again tonight, I should be asleep by now, but I can't go to sleep. I felt God is leading me to write to y'all.

I was reading a book, Extreme Devotion by the Voice of the Martyrs. I was reading Rachel Scott's story, the Columbine High School student who was killed at her school. On her journal, she wrote... "I lost all my friends at school. Now that I've begun to 'walk my talk,' they make fun of me. I am not going to hide the light that God has put into me. If I have to sacrifice everything, I will." A year later, one gunman asked her if she still believed in God. She looked at him and said yes, she still believed. He asked her why, but he didn't let her answer before killing her.

How are we right now? How's our relationship with Christ? Some of us are just happy to be saved and then will just go on do our own thing. Don't be slacking now! Strive to be just like Jesus! He should be our standard!!!

NO COMPROMISE!!

From Extreme Devotion... I read... "Compromise takes a steady toll and weakens our desire and ability to be committed. In the same way, the believer's commitment to Christ must exact a price in order to maintain its value. We must prepare for the test of our commitment by daily affirming that Christianity is worth it. It's worth spending our time in daily prayer. It's worth gathering for worship at church. It's worth enduring hardship and trial, abuse, and even arrest for the previlege of maintaining our commitment without compromise."

Let us ask God for forgiveness. Recommit our lives to Him.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, and if you want to know how, leave a note, or you can call 1-888-NEED-HIM

I love you all!

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.
Revelation 3:5

So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:16

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20
(note, this was spoken to the Church in Laodicea, imagine, Jesus, outside the CHURCH? We are His church, let us let Jesus in!)

NO MORE COMPROMISE!!!

I love this new song from Plumb, Sink & Swim...

I lost it all
You got it back
Believed in me
When I gave up on myself again

A sudden rain
Revealed your face
I knew right then
No matter where
I go I’d have your hand to hold

We will sink and
We will swim
Til’ the ocean turns to sand
We will laugh
We will cry
Til’ there’s no more breath inside
Cause we will sink
But we will swim

I was,
A tender reed
Bent in the wind
And then the storm had passed
And you helped me stand right up again

So here we are
Nothing to lose
So take my hand
We’ll jump right in
The water’s warm
It’s time to live

It doesn’t rain
For nothing
It will shine
For you

You can hear the song from Air1.com my favorite station :D

Helloweeee!! How are you all doing? I'm doing great except that I have been awake for 24 hours now! Haha! You are reading it right! Awake for 24 hours! I worked last night for 8 hrs my 5th straight night! Yeah, I thought I was gonna work for four straight nights only but "ate" ( ah-teh, Filipino word for big sister), yeah she's like "ate" to me, begged me to work for her, so I did. I stayed awake so I can go to church; what an awesome message, by the way; we are doing the series of Eight Steps to a Healthy Life. Last week was the first step, acknowledge that "We are not god, and we cannot manage ourselves, we need to turn everything over to God!" Today, the second step, "Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me get healthy again!"

This afternoon, I went to the bible school, we finished the book of Lamentation, quite a wonderful poetry, touches the very soul of a man, how he grieved because of the result of his rebellion, how God pursued him. Great is his faithfulness indeed! They are new every morning!

We started the book of Revelation, we talked about the Seven Churches in Asia Minor. I reported about the Church in Philedelphia, the church of "brotherly love", the church that is faithful despite of its little strength. This church did not deny the name of Jesus! This is one of the only 2 churches who did not receive a rebuke from Jesus, the other is Smyrna.

We need to be like the Philadelphia, holding fast to what we have, remaining faithful even though we have a very little strength. Philadelphia, with its meaning, "brotherly love", we too must love one another.

Jesus said..

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34, 35

I took a quiz!

Just got home from work, and I thought I'd drop you a note. I was reading a book, Tortured for Christ by Ptr. Richard Wurmbrand, I like this one quote in there..."A flower, if you bruise it under your feet, rewards you by giving you its perfume. Likewise Christians, tortured by the Communists, rewarded their torturers by love."

I'll share more about the book. I'm sleepy now, I gotta work again tonight :(

God Bless Y'all!

Check this out! Voice of the Martyrs! You can look for the book there.

Good afternoon! I'm working tonight. Start of 4 straight nights. Wish me well :p.

So how are you all doing? Hope all is well with you.

There's this quote that I learned from Dare 2 Share, Live like Jesus died yesterday, rose again this morning, and is coming back again tonight. Quite a quote to live by, huh? And I was browsing from someones blog that I found, ..and the Word was God... Thank you, John for letting me link your blog here.. I like what he said.. "Let them WANT what you have!" That's another quote to live by.

I remember the song from Newsboys, "Shine! Make them wonder what you got... Let it Shine before all men, let them see good works and then let them glorify the Lord!

That's it for now. Good day!

Good afternoon! I worked last night and I'm still up. I took a quiz, here's the result...

You're wind! You are a very kind and sympathetic person. Whoever DOESN'T like you has a mental disorder, because you are a loving and caring gentle soul.

What element are you?

January 3 & 4, our youth group attended a conference, Dare 2 Share. The theme was, Last Chance. We learned why it is so important to share the Gospel, and we learned the "how" of it. The 4th, we actually did some outreach in our neighborhood and one soul got saved!

What is this all about being saved, anyways? Here, Get A Life! Meaning of life? Why are we here? Check this out too, 1-888-NEED-HIM call the number to talk to someone.

Good day!

Hey Y'all! I went to the Bible Study last Thursday at Church and we took a quiz to reevaluate our priorities and spiritual status. I scored 16 points I need some major revamps :(( Anyways, I'd like to share this with you all. I don't know where our Pastor got this from, but I thank the source.

Six Symptoms of Misplaced Priorities

1.Excessive Busyness

How to know: People who love you are saying “slow down” (1 point). You feel held hostage by time; your clock has become the enemy (2 points). Your kids are clinging to your leg right now (2 points).

2. Stress/Burnout

How to know: You are uptight, experiencing chest pain, having trouble sleeping (2 points). You are restless, uneasy (2 points). It’s hard to make decisions (1 point). You are not very happy (3 points). You have a feeling of being totally worn out (4 points)

3. Low Grade, Nagging Guilt

How to know: You feel bad about yourself, unfulfilled. There are a lot of things you know are important (that you even tell others to do), that you’re not doing. It’s getting to you, robbing you of peace, and you’re feeling like a hypocrite (5 points).

4. Mounting Financial Pressure

How to know: Money’s tight for you. Credit card bills are piling up, and debt continues to rise (5 points). There always seem to be too much “month” left at the end of the money (3 points). A budget, to you, is a “good idea,” not something you’re practicing right now (3 points). You’re doing research on the difference between Chapter Eleven and Chapter Thirteen (8 points). You’re not giving your first portion to the Lord, and you can’t see any way in the world to do it… which adds to your guilt (5 points)

5. Spiritual Leakage

How to know: Your prayers consist mostly of quick, one-sided conversations in the shower or the car (5 points). You pray mostly with others, but not much alone (4 points). You don’t feel close to God (3 points). You feel like you’re on a spiritual roller coaster (3 points). Your Bible reading is hit and miss – more miss than hit (5 points). You feel like you’re drifting spiritually, but can’t find time to turn things around (5 points).

6. Escapism Behavior

How to know: You find yourself finding ways to “get away,” not to relax, but to escape responsibility. You’re developing habits of impulse buying (2 points), thrill seeking (1 point), purposeless driving (1 point), lots of eating out (3 points), excessive television (4 points). You recently took a vacation you couldn’t afford, just because you couldn’t “take it” anymore (7 points).

Scoring:

Add your total from each category:

Excessive Busyness

Stress/Burnout

Low Grade/Nagging guilt

Mounting Financial Pressure

Spiritual Leakage

Escapism Behavior

0-3 points Congratulations! We’d like to take a seminar from you!

6-15 points You’re off to a good start, with only some minor mid-course corrections to make

16-30 points It’s time to make some major changes in your life. Get ready!

31-50 points The trends in your life have you headed for disaster, and you need to make radical changes.

51+ points Danger Zone! Do not proceed without getting immediate help.

As you can see, misplaced priorities can be destructive in multiple areas of our lives. Symptoms that may seem “temporary” concessions in front end, appearing as minor aberrations, are the gateways to disaster. But don’t be discouraged! God has given us clear directives on how to find genuine peace, fulfillment and productivity in our lives.

Oh, we had soooo much fun at church! Was so encouraged too by the testimonies I heard. Testimonies about healing, protection, providence & salvation. God is faithful indeed! We had praise & worship, learned a new song :D. After the service we had more fellowship, had potluck and we did the countdown, and we had games, it was soo much fun! We did the spell a word that was described, and pass the duffle bags and when the music stops, if the bag stopped to u, u need to grab something from it and wear it! We all look so goofy! hehe... And we had a fashion show... :p

I am so excited to what God has in store for me for this year. :)

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Are you?
