I just learned last night that the founder of Youth Specialties the one who hosted the Youth Workers Convention, and he spoke for the last session, Mike Yaconelli, is gone to be with the Lord, yesterday morning. It was shocking for me, I just went to visit the website YouthSpecialties.com and I couldn't believe what I was reading. I was crying at work.

I just began to know Mike when I went to the Youth Worker's Convention in Charlotte. I saw his heart, and I loved it! I'm so sad that he has to be with the Lord just right after I get to know him. I will miss him. I thank him for all he's done to encourage all the youth workers like me. I thank him for following the calling and the vision that God had for him here on earth.

I praise God for his life!

How are you all doin? I had an awesome time yesterday. I enjoyed being in the presence of God during praise and worship led by Chris Tomlin. I attended the seminar on Counselling Teenagers, awesome stuff, learned a lot! And... I did karaoke! I thought, nobody knows me I wouldn't worry if I sucked so I joined in! I sang Stacie Orrico's 'Don't Look At Me' Not really the song that I wanted to sing, I wanted the song 'Getting into You' by Relient K...may be I'll join in again! I watched the whole karaoke thing, enjoyed hearing youth workers sing, some of them really did a very good job, some of them sucked..:p they said I did a very good job, I didn't think so, I thanked them anyways.

It's so cool to see youth workers being crazy...:p Well, of course we are crazy that's why we are YOUTH WORKERS! LOL.

Today, Doug Fields spoke a powerful message. How do we last in this ministry? Remember the calling and remember that God is always with us, and that He said, "I Am who I Am." WE are not supposed to do the ministry, GOD IS gonna WORK THROUGH us.

Oh, yeah... Jars of Clay was awesome! And so was Lil iRocc. I like Jars of Clay's new song, 'Amazing Grace,' it has some country style in it, but it rocked!

Oh, before the session started, Chris Tomlin were rockin on the song, 'Sweet Home Alabama.' Lol...we are having fun here!

Well, talk to you all later!

I'm right here at Youth Worker's Convention. I attended the Critical Course, Leading Students in Worship. It's awesome, I learned a lot! In our worship we need to sing songs that tells about God not what we feel about Him. Our feelings change but God is constant! He is God how ever you may feel.

I learned some 'how tos' as well.

Yeah, I'm having an awesome time!

You at the house, see you Monday!

Life is tough and frustrating. I long to do the will of God in everything. I long to be in His step always. But with the old-self that is still existing, not completely dead, I still fall. Life is tough and frustrating.

God is just. Everything I do has consequences. I don't know what they are gonna be but I know God is fair.

God is merciful. He knows my struggles and my weaknesses. He understands.

God is love. He gave His only Son to pay for my sins.

God is faithful. He will forgive me if I confess my sins.

God is able. He is able to change me, praise Him!

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT

And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

Yes, I'm so glad that I am not the same as I was yesterday, and I will be different tomorrow. I'm not satisfied on what I am right now, I want to be more like Him!

Yes, life is tough and frustrating but with Jesus in me I can do anything! I can cast all my frustrations to Him for He cares for me.

I'm so glad...... I Am Subject To Change!

Sup wid ya all? I have been working a lot. I want to be debt free by the end of 2004 so I can just worry about saving for DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM. I plan on attending DTS in 2005. I'm gonna take the training in Baguio, Philippines, Lord willing, since it's wayyyy cheaper there than anywhere in the world (I think). They have one in June and one in October every year. I can just decide when to go. Well, if I'd be ready before June, then I'll go do it in June! Weee!! I'm excited!! :D

Oh, yeah. I had such an awesome weekend! This is weekend but I'm talking about the past weekend.

Anyways, yeah, we (Youth leaders and Youth Pastors), had our care group meeting last Friday, Sept. 26. We didn't have any agenda. We just enjoyed each other's company, had potluck :p, and collectively worshipped God!

We talked about what's been going on with our lives, how God has been so awesome! And we talked about the Youth.

It has been a rocky road with our youth group here. We are a Filipino church (mostly Filipinos come in our church) and there's been a lot of gossip going on within the church and it has affected the youth group. We had to stop extra activities for 1 month. We only had Sunday school & Worship Service.

This event had made us stronger, though. We have learned to trust each other more. We grew more closer than ever. We have learned to be more accountable to one another. The students learned to be more responsible. They realize more that they will be the future leaders.

That night of our care group meeting, I saw in my co-leaders and Youth Pastors their love and concern for the Youth. They sacrifice their time voluntarily. I praise God for them! That night as well, I saw where we are heading. My co-leaders? They have the heart for the mission too! They wish to go and reach out the unreached! After three years, most of us will be gone to be missionaries even to the uttermost part of the world. Our students will be taking the lead for the Next Generation X'rs

The next thing that happened that night was cool. We started appreciating each other, how the gift and talent we have received from God have helped one another and the Youth.

"You have a great compassion." "You are very organized." "You have the heart of worship." "You are very encouraging." "You are musically inclined." "You have a beautiful voice." "You are good at teaching." "You are passionate." "You are a good counselor." "You are flexible." "You are this, you are that. You are good at this, you are good at that."

Those were the words that we heard and said. It's so awesome how God works! I was really feeling down and tired. Then God sent "angels" to encourage me. :)

Praise the Lord!!
