I get to hang out with my friends from work yesterday. We "feasted" at an italian restaurant here. I had some tiramisu and it had some rum on it so I felt a little lethargic after that. B-|
After dinner they wanted to go to a comedy zone but I didn't want to, you know they just do some lame jokes, they may pick on you and drink and you get to smell cigarettes and I don't like that. What we did is we went to a friend's house and watched a Filipino movie, had some chicken macaroni salad which I think is the best one that I've ever had. I thought my friend made it, it was her mom :p
I brought along with me a friend that just came from Saudi. She had a good time too.
I went to sleep around 3AM already. My mom asked me to drive her to my auntie's house to meet her cousin that she hasn't seen for 40 years. He came from Seattle, WA. He's cool. He's funny, he tells you stories with his serious look but you don't know what is the true story or the made up one. :p I met his kids too. They seem pretty nice. They're on their 20's.
At Worship Service, my friend from Saudi came with me. Pastor Ging, our visiting pastor, gave the message and I love the message! I'll share it when I come back tomorrow from work.
I have to get some sleep now. I gotta go to work this evening. Bummer.
What's up with me?
Well, just want to speak out what's on my mind, or what's been going on with me. Well, yes, I'm under construction. From glory to glory He changes me!

Clay Aiken's on Rolling Stone!
Hi y'all!
It has been a while since I posted here. Been really busy that I hardly go online. I'm all psyched up that I'm leaving next Saturday, July 5th, to go to Texas and from there, probably on the 10th of July we'll be leaving for Panama!
Last Wednesday night, I get to meet a sister in Christ. She just came here from the Philippines. She's being sponsored by the hospital that I work for. She worked in Saudi Arabia for 5 years as a nurse.
Her youngest sister was the first to become a Christian. Her sister shared to her about the love of Jesus but she didn't listen. Still her sister kept telling her about God's love even if she's very hard on her. She wouldn't allow her sister to go to church that she would lock her in a cabinet. The seed of faith had been planted into her heart, though, that when she started working to Saudi, a country that is hostile towards Christians, her faith in Christ grew and she finally gave her heart to Jesus.
Yes it's true, Saudi Arabia is hostile towards the Christians. It's a Muslim country that it does not allow people to bear a Bible or any Christian materials. If the Saudi police find you with Christian materials, they will put you in jail.
That sister in Christ that I met left her Bible in Saudi because our brothers and sisters in Christ there don't have enough Bible, it is so hard to smuggle a Bible in there so now she doesn't have a Bible at all. We have extra Bible here so I'll give her one. She want's to send some materials to her churchmates too in Saudi. I have some books that I can give to her to send them.
In Saudi, Worship Service is not allowed, so they just meet secretly at one of the brethren's house. They will call it a party so the Saudis won't know.
OK, imagine They don't have religious freedom there yet the Christians there are so eager to serve God even if it may cost them their lives, but what about us here? We have freedom to gather and worship yet it's so hard for us to get up on Sunday mornings (but we don't wanna be late for work), we have every Christian material and every version of the Bible but we hardly read them (we watch TV and go to the movies instead).
What would it take for us to give our all to God? Let us not let them take our freedom before we do that. We don't have to learn the hard way.
God Bless!

I got my first pair of eyeglasses yesterday. I'm trying to get used to wearing them. The doctor said I will feel sick to my stomach on the first days of wearing them. She's right. 8-(

First Eye Exam
OK, earlier today sucked. I had to renew my driver's license but they didn't let me. I coudn't read with my left eye! My driver's license will be expiring tomorrow. The lady said I can try the other license office, maybe it's only the machine that has the problem. I was hoping too, but I went to the other driver's licensing office, it's closed on Mondays. So I went to see the eye doctor in Target. My first eye exam. I was kinda scared, but the doctor was so nice, she explained everything, she told me everything that was to expect so basically, it wasn't that scary anymore! :p
Anyhow, the diagnosis, nearsightedness. My left eye, 20/400. I had to wear glasses :((. But the good thing is I don't have to wear them all the time. My right eye's 20/30.
So tomorrow, I'll show the doctor's report and I can have my driver's license renewed! :D
I know it's late but I wanna say...
I miss my father. He was a great dad. He loved us sooo much. He was a people person too. He helped as many people as he can. But he's gone to be with the Lord, June 9 of 1994. I was turning 18 on June 17. That was the worst birthday that I had.
Yeah, yeah. Do the math, I'll be 27. :p
Yesterday was awesome! My pastor prayed for me and collected offering for my mission trip. I feel so loved. I thank God for such a wonderful congregation. I'm so glad to be a part of God's great family!

Psalm 63
The Message
A David psalm, when he was out in the Judean wilderness.
1 God--you're my God! I can't get enough of you!
I've worked up such hunger and thirst for God,
traveling across dry and weary deserts.
2 So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.
3 In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
4 I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.
5 I eat my fill of prime rib and gravy;
I smack my lips. It's time to shout praises!
6 If I'm sleepless at midnight,
I spend the hours in grateful reflection.
7 Because you've always stood up for me,
I'm free to run and play.
8 I hold on to you for dear life,
and you hold me steady as a post.
9 Those who are out to get me are marked for doom,
marked for death, bound for hell.
10 They'll die violent deaths;
jackals will tear them limb from limb.
11 But the king is glad in God;
his true friends spread the joy,
While small-minded gossips
are gagged for good.
-----------
I love this chapter of Psalms. This is my love song for my Savior. The expression of my need of Him. Without Him, I am nothing! Because of Him, I am somebody.

Hands And Feet
Audio Adrenaline
An image flashed across my TV screen
Another broken heart comes in to view
I saw the pain and I turned my back
Why can't I do the things I want to?
I'm willing yet I'm so afraid
You give me strength when I say
CHORUS
I want to be your hands
I want to be your feet
I'll go where you send me
I'll go where you send me
REPEAT
And I try, yeah I try
To touch the world like You touched my life
And I find my way
To be your hands
I've abandoned every selfish thought
I've surrendered every thing I've got
You can have everything I am
And perfect everything I'm not
I'm willing, I'm not afraid
You give me strength when I say
CHORUS
This is the lifetime
I turned my back on you
From now on, I'll go so
Send me where You want me to
I finally have a mission
I promise I'll complete
I don't need excuses
When I am your hands and feet
------------------
This is my Theme Song. The first time I heard this, it stirred my heart to do everything I can to give glory to God. When I saw the video, it challenged me to go to mission field. I first heard this song in 2000, then I went to my first mission trip on 2002 in Costa Rica! I'm going again this year to Panama. Panama, get ready for Christ!

Unlikely Heroes
God loves to use the most unlikely heroes. Think of some of the surprising choices He has throughout biblical history to be instruments to transformation.
He chose
…a novice boat builder named Noah
…an elderly patriarch named Abraham
…a stuttering shepherd names Moses
…a reluctant queen named Esther
…a confident senior citizen named Caleb
…a God-fearing prostitute named Rahab
…a young dreamer named Daniel
…a fig-picking prophet named Amos
…a prejudiced preacher named Jonah
…a terrified Benjamite names Gideon
…a patient ex-con named Joseph
…a converted tax collector names Matthew
…a determined cupbearer named Nehemiah
…a cricket-eating, camel-fur wearing, water-drenched baptizer named John
The same pattern holds true in church history.
He used
…a quirky monk named Luther
…a cross-eyed preacher named Whitefield
…an ambitious shoe salesman named Moody
…a teenaged pulpiteer named Spurgeon
…a lanky country evangelist named Graham
Maybe the secret of why God loves to use the unusable, the outcast, the off-putting, and the unlikely is tucked away in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29:
Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

We had our Care Group meeting at Larry & Nessie's house. It's good to see sister Nessie doing a lot better. She had liver and kidney transplant just this April. We prayed for her for more strength and more motivation so she can go back to her normal routines. We prayed for one another. We also studied 1 John 1 and 2. We had a good exchange of thoughts. We were reminded of how it is so important to read the bible, how we should always have a fellowship with the Light, that is Jesus. It's also good to know more about the couple (Larry & Nessie). I just knew their names before. I didn't even know that they have grown up kids. We had a small session of praise and worship as well. I led them with the song Here I Am To Worship since we talked about the Light of the world :)
By the way, the name of our group is More Than Conquerors, and yes, we want to show the world that in Christ, we are more than conquerors!
